How We Work

My name is Marguerite Sexton, the executive Director of Journeys of the Heart. When we meet or talk on the phone, I do a lot of listening so I can get to know you.

The more I know about about you, your background, your beliefs, and how you envision your specific ceremony…the better your celebration will be.

Once I’ve listened to what you have to say, I’ll share as much with you as you’d like, answering all the questions and everything you want to know about Journeys of the Heart. By doing more listening than talking, I’m able to give you exactly what you want…even providing the right choice of officiant, if you’d like.

That officiant will then contact you to schedule a no-obligation planning consultation. You do not need to bring anything to the consultation, but we welcome your own ideas or materials you may have.

I am Diane Smith-Hoban, the Administrator of Journeys of the Heart. In addition to my work as an officiant, I support Marguerite and the entire Journeys of the Heart staff.

If for some reason Marguerite isn’t available, I’m the one you will reach when you call. I may also be the one to follow up on your phone calls or any e-mails you send.

Our entire team will work closely with you to ensure that you receive individual attention and nothing slips through the cracks.
