Anita Bondi: Pocono Region, Lehigh Valley Anita feels blessed to have such a special role in the lives of so many couples. One of the most beautiful, intriguing things to her is the love story between two people and finding a way to put that into a personalized ceremony that reflects the depth and the mystery of love. Her couples find her warmth, enthusiasm and lively spirit delightful. She makes sure that the guests feel included and engaged and that the couples feel present to the moment and relaxed.

Anita, I have to tell you that I'm still reeling over meeting you in person. You renewed and rejuvenated our excitement over our upcoming nuptials. The stress of the planning was beginning to take its toll on our excitement and anticipation but you turned that back around for us and that is invaluable to me. Thank you. :-) Dave and I are so glad that you will be marrying us. Love, - Patty Anita is a first generation Italian whose mother came over from Italy as a teenager. With a mother from near Naples, Italy and a father whose grandparents emigrated from Sicily, there was no getting away from a very strict, Italian, Catholic upbringing. Twelve years of Catholic school and a job cleaning a convent meant that the family was hopeful that Anita would follow suit and find either a nice Italian boy to marry or become a nun. When she failed to "settle down" and seemed to only date Protestants, they became concerned and found ways to broach the subject at every family gathering. Finally, she met Stan Stewart (not Italian or Catholic), in the San Francisco Bay area and managed to slide in, just under the wire, to marry before she was 40 years old! She wooed Stan to the Poconos Mountains to collaborate in the worlds of performance art, music and craft. (Stan is skilled on the piano, guitar and vocals and sometimes provides music for Anita’s wedding ceremonies as well as other Pocono area ceremonies and events. Anita came to the Poconos via Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and settled there because of the natural beauty and proximity to her family (She is Italian after all!). She lives right off of the Appalachian Trail and one block from the Delaware River. She loves being outdoors, hanging out with her rescue dog, Scout, and sipping a good glass of red wine on her back porch. She is the co-director of Wellspring Holistic Center which she founded in 1993. She holds a Ph. D in Holistic Health and Movement Studies and sees the body as our greatest teacher. She has a private therapy practice, teaches classes and leads retreats and workshops. She is also a performance artist, dancer, and lover of ritual. Anita finds herself regularly moved by things of beauty and has her breath taken away on a regular basis! She finds that creating things with her hands brings much peace and joy to her life and is currently producing an inspirational jewelry line. She uses her background in improvisation and performance to keep the wedding ceremony atmosphere light and fun. And she is ready with a backup plan to handle anything that comes up during the ceremony. She is thrilled to continue working with couples. She is constantly amazed at how much she learns from them and how much they have helped her to be a better partner in her own marriage.
